Christine Wegner Named Fellow of North American Society for Sport Management

Congratulations to Christine Wegner, Ph.D., director of the Institute for Coaching Excellence and instructional assistant professor in sport management, for being named a North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) Research Fellow.  

Fellow status honors achievements in sport-related scholarship disseminated through NASSM. The designation is intended to be one of distinction within NASSM and the academic community, and encourage high standards of research and other forms of scholarship.

Wegner is the fifth college faculty member in the Department of Sport Management to earn this high achievement. NASSM fellows include: Yonghwan Chang, Ph.D., assistant professor; George Cunningham, Ph.D., chair and professor; Yong Jae Ko, Ph.D., professor; and Michael Sagas, Ed.D., professor.

Within the College of Health & Human Performance, faculty hold more than 20 fellowships across a wide variety of disciplines including sports medicine, kinesiology and recreation, to name a few. Learn more about college honors and fellowships.
