Q&A

Why did you choose to enroll at UF?

UF has a strong academic program and presence, and it is an institution I wanted to be a part of.

Why did you choose to major in HHP?

Being involved in the events and hospitality industry for the past 17 years has piqued my interest in pursuing a degree in the field. Knowing that UF has a program that I could transfer into made it an attractive choice to apply and accept the offer to become one of THEM.

What do you enjoy most about being a student at UF?

The classes are amazing and so thorough. I never thought I could gain so much knowledge that could be readily and easily applied to my current work state so quickly.

What has made your student experience unique?

The advisors! I didn't have to fumble through figuring out where to get the information needed. By clicking on UF OneStop I got all my questions answered without a phone call. The human connection is there; however, if you can get to it right away, that's also neat.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Pursuing a Master's Degree in the same Tourism Hospitality field.

Do you have academic/professional accomplishments that you wish to share?

I'm a Trained Mentor with Mentor Collective. Additionally, I've been a part of Wedding Pro (The Knot) as an educator in 2019 welcoming and offering tips to new event professionals in the business.
