Q&A

Why did you choose to enroll at UF?

It has always been a dream of mine to attend UF. The University of Florida is a great school for pre-health students and it has great resources. I am a first-generation college student in my family so this whole experience is a dream come true.

Why did you choose to major in HHP?

I choose a major in HHP because health education and behavior sounded like something that really interested me. One of the things that really got my attention is most pre-health majors are science, but this major gives me the opportunity to learn the sciences I need as well as some amazing classes regarding health as a whole. I am very happy with the major I chose and I feel it will keep me prepared for any way I decide I want my career to head.

What do you enjoy most about being a student at UF?

I truly love being a student at UF, I love walking to class and seeing the beautiful buildings. The University of Florida does a great job at keeping college fun, with all the events and goodies they have for students. This school does a great job at making sure students want to be here.

What has made your student experience unique?

I believe my path with dual enrollment in high school truly gave me a different journey here at UF. Since I am a transfer, I now have to figure out certain things regarding my major/career, but anytime I need help HHP advisors do a great job at making sure I feel comfortable in the path I am heading in.

What are your post-graduation plans?

My post graduate goals are to get accepted to PA school and become a PA.
