On May 2, 2024, the University of Florida College of Health & Human Performance held a spring recognition ceremony in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center to celebrate 152 master’s and 388 bachelor’s degree recipients.
Dean Michael Reid, Ph.D., presided over the afternoon ceremony recognizing the graduates in applied physiology and kinesiology; health education and behavior; sport management; and tourism, hospitality and event management.
Cyntrice Thomas, Ph.D., JD, an instructional associate professor and associate chair in the Department of Sport Management, served as the speaker for the recognition ceremony. Her speech focused on appreciating the journey, being flexible and learning from experiences.

To close the ceremony, the graduating Class of 2024 sang the University of Florida Alma Mater for the first time as new alumni.
At the morning’s campus-wide doctoral recognition ceremony, five Ph.D.’s and 12 Doctor of Athletic Training (DAT) graduates were recognized.
