GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dr. John Dobson, a senior lecturer in the College of Health and Human Performance, received an award from the American Physiological Society for being a noteworthy “investiGator.”
“This is the first award I have won from the American Physiological Society and the first national award I have won, so I am extremely pleased,” Dobson said.
The Teaching of Physiology Section New Investigator Award recognizes an outstanding investigator in his or her early career. Recipients are investigators who have made selfless contributions to the teaching of physiology. Candidates are judged on their publications, how their work relates to the Teaching of Physiology Section and evidence of independence and promise.
Dobson was selected for his three recent publications in the journal Advances in Physiological Education. His dedication to teaching physiology also made him a worthy candidate for the award.
