GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dr.Stephen Holland (TRSM) has been elected to serve as at-large director on the board of directors for the National Society for Park Resources, a branch of the National Recreation and Park Association. Holland was inducted into his new role on Oct. 16 at the 2008 NRPA Congress in Baltimore, Md. The National Recreation and Park Association is a national membership organization dedicated to advancing park, recreation and conservation efforts that enhance quality of life for all people. Holland also serves as the academic liaison to the board of directors of the National Association of Natural Resource Recreation Planners (NARRP) and recently participated in their board meeting in Bastrop, Texas. NARRP is a nationwide organization with members in nearly every state, representing state, federal, regional and local agencies, consultants, non-profits and academic institutions.
