The College of Health and Human Performance along with Dr. Paula Welch, Professor Emeritus, and the Department of Tourism, Recreation and Sport Management is pleased to announce the 2005 Spring Break Study Abroad Program to Greece. The three-credit course is open to University of Florida undergraduate and graduate students. Space is limited to 24 students.
The cost of the program is $698 for undergraduate students and $1,087.94 for graduate students. Tuition is included, and Florida Bright Futures will cover the tuition cost of $295.50 for undergraduate students. The program cost includes: seven nights hotel with double occupancy, breakfast, excursions, transportation in Greece and taxes. Airfare will cost an additional $650 to $750.
Students will have the opportunity to experience many aspects of ancient and modern Greece. The course will teach Greek history and ancient Olympic history.
Tentative site visits in Greece include: Athens, Delphi, Olympia, Corinth, Argolis and Nemea.
The course, PET 4905c/PET 5936, is a semester-long class. Students will have to complete assignments prior to the program, as well as during and after the program.
