HEB Undergraduate Programs

Health Studies (HEB-HS)
The Health Studies specialization prepares students to be health educators within specific fields or areas. The structure of the curriculum provides students the flexibility to complete required coursework for the Bachelor of Science in Health Education degree, as well as fulfill pre-requisite coursework for professional health programs, as well as graduate programs in health education or related fields (public health, health administration, epidemiology and disease prevention).

Iinformation related to the specific pre-professional requirements for professional health programs may be obtained from the Academic Advising Center, as well as the Career Resource Center. Students should also contact a representative from the specific program to which they are seeking admission to for more detailed information. It is the student's responsibility to plan necessary prerequisites into their degree plan.

Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 overall GPA and 3.0 tracking GPA to remain in this specialization.
