Biography:

Michael Stellefson, PhD, was the Principal Investigator on a Health Services Research Dissertation Grant (R36) entitled, Efficacy of DVD Technology in COPD Self-Management Education of Rural Patients, awarded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Stellefson has received fellowships from the Will Rogers Institute in conjunction with the American Association of Health Education, and from the Society for Public Health Education in association with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry. He has been a published author on 17 peer reviewed manuscripts in journals related to health education and health promotion, given over 35 research  presentations at regional and national professional conferences, and has served as the Managing Editor for the American Journal of Health Studies.
