SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE COMING JAN 25, 2007 | 1/9

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The College of Health and Human Performance in conjunction with the Department of Applied Physiology/Kinesiology and the Center for Exercise Science will sponsor a scientific conference entitled “Advances in Skeletal Muscle Biology in Health and Disease” on January 25-26, 2007.

The meeting will be hosted on the University of Florida campus (Reitz Union) and will bring together a group of internationally recognized scientists to discuss a variety of important health-related topics that focus on skeletal muscle biology. More specifically, a total of 25 scientists representing nine universities from across the United States and Europe will meet and discuss the latest research findings on skeletal muscle function in both health and disease states.

The meeting is open to University of Florida students, faculty, and staff.
