The purpose of this program is to give students the opportunity to develop advanced knowledge and competencies in Exercise Physiology. Clinical Exercise Physiologists practice in hospitals, clinics and wellness centers as part of a health care team that administers tests and develops programs of exercise, counseling, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary, metabolic, and musculoskeletal diseases. Clinical Exercise Physiologists may also practice in health-promotion programs with populations that are apparently healthy or low-risk. This program offers core requirements that must be completed by all students, and elective courses that permit the student to choose between a Rehabilitative Emphasis and a Preventive Emphasis (health promotion). The Clinical Exercise Physiologist Specialization is designed to be a 2 year, non-thesis program.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

offers core requirements that must be completed by all students, and
elective courses that permit the student to choose between a
Rehabilitative Emphasis and a Preventive Emphasis (health promotion).
The Clinical Exercise Physiologist Specialization is designed to be a 2
year, non-thesis program. Students wishing to pursue research careers
or doctoral degrees may choose to complete the thesis requirements in
Exercise Physiology (MS).
